Woah. Looks pretty awesome. I guess i could stop being lazy and figure some of this shit out on my own. Google isnt exactly hard to use. But yeah thats friggin sweet. I wonder how expensive that 'controller' is. Ill have to rent that one and see what its about. If i could actually learn anything from it musically that would be so unbelievably awesome. If i can learn some music theory type stuff from a video game i would just skeet myself. Either way that reminds me, i need some new strings. I havent been playing very much since the new job and all the holiday drama ive earned myself.

Bad strings are my current excuse as well. When Im at school I don't have the money to get them, and I didn't bring my guitar home for the holidays so it feels like its been a long time.
Could someone explain the controller in detail? That would make me happy.

Click the link dork. Its sort of like one of those guitars you get 5 year olds that has buttons instead of strings. I want to say it had like 5 fret buttons that you press and combine to do different things like chords and whatnot. Theres also a type of button where you usually strum the strings that you hit to play the notes. Theres even a whammy bar to jerk around. Looks pretty sweet. Definately needs to be put under more investigation. Thats all just what i remember from looking at it last night, who knows what i forgot or said wrong though.

To answer the price question, its generally $70 for game and controller or $100 for game and 2 controllers. So for how much fun it is, its not bad. The most absurdly awesome part about it is the "Star Power" system. Hitting certain strings of notes in a row will fill up your "Star Power" meter. When its filled up enough, you can hold your guitar vertical in the traditional "rock the fuck out" stance for double points. That's right, they actually have a gyroscope in the peripheral that detects when you are truly hard rockin'. It even has hammer on and pull off capabilities, although I feel they could be a little looser with what they detect (especially for pull offs). The strum bar can be strum up or down (its not just a 'press in' type button) and if you are hitting a higher note while holding a lower fret button down also, it only counts the higher fret - just like it would in a real guitar. Its fairly absurdly authentic and truly awesomely metal.
The guitar duels are a game unto themselves. Hook up with another player and you don't just play the same notes - the game actually trades you off sections of the song, so its a true duel. Its just amazing.

Guitar Hero is a pretty awesome game, played it with Travis a few times, played it with other friends more. I'm on hard difficulty.

I love Rock And Roll is such a practice song in that game lol. I guess it would have to be though, it's so simple.
