An interesting game if I do say so myself. Kinda tactics style but, a little different as you can move anywhere. It's pretty damn good if anyone can get a hold of it and try it out. It comes with Growlanser 2 and 3, I'm about 1/4 the way through 2 and loving it. Anyone else played it?

uranubbynub Ms. Nubby Nub. =) <3<3
Growlanser 2 wasn't all that great to me. At the very least, it had very little replay value at all. Of course, had I just played 2, I probably would have thought a bit differently. But holy crap, Growlanser 3 rawks. Both are definitely worth a play, but 3>2, imho.

Growlanser is sweet. I love the battle system and the presentation, though the way 3's story was told kinda pissed me off. After getting a real hero in 2, they went to the mute hero with an annoying little flying companion. Not only that, they went with random battles in dungeons, which bogged down the game a little. I can't decide which I liked better, but I definitely want to see Growlanser 4 stateside.

Yeah I just finished beating Logan...which was a battle I didn't suspect in GL2...can't wait to finish it off and start 3.

Would you recommend it? Sounds kind of interesting.... Its like a tactics but you can move anywhere. What else does it have? I suppose i could search and check it out online but id rather see what you guys have to say first. Sounds playable so far.

It's sort of like that Fort Condor minigame in FF7, if you can remember that. I don't really have much to say other than Hugh is the shit and you should get Growlanser.

Yeahya. Ill have to look into that then. Any replay value? Or should give it a one night stand and just rent it till i beat it up then send it home in a cab. Well actually im a nice guy so ill probably take it home myself. Or should i just commit?

There's some replay value in that the endings slightly change based on which character likes you the most, but the battles rarely change. Two games for $30-40 is worth it, though.

The game itself is good enough to replay never mind the slightly different endings! Definately worth the 35$ Canadian for me

Youre asking for a Canadian looney joke but i wont go there on ya Quez, im sure someone else will get to it soon enough. But yeah ill have to check it out. Talking about this game and trying to imagine what its like reminds me of this game i played quite some time ago. Im pretty sure it was a ps1 game. Mana was in the title if i remember correctly. Perhaps not though. But basically you had some regular characters i think but the focus was on all the monsters you would use. It might have just been the monsters. I cant remember what else to call them. They sort of had different elements but it wasnt actually elements, just the same idea. You had to really pay attention to what was stronger than what because it makes a much bigger difference in this game. I had to quit halfway through though and sold it because i realized far too late that deleting all the monsters and redeploying them the way i wanted cost me.. something i really needed. Forget what everything was called but it was an interesting game. If youre not a tactic fan then dont even think about it, but you could also multiplayer it up. I think you had to vs but its still more fun than most rpg games. Anyone know what im talking about?

If you're talking about Jade Cocoon, I want you to leave and never come back.

I wish that mattered even a slight bit zitty, as that would make this more interesting. But i could give a shit what you want me to do, especially if its wanting me to leave. That gives me all the more reason to stay.
I assume youre just being sarcastic, and i hate having to put this disclaimer but im quite sarcastic too. However i put a subtle grave honesty in my sarcasm.
Aha!! I found myself intent on finding the game. I was way off on the title hints though, my bad, but nobody gets points or anything from me. Sorry guys. The answer was Kartia. Not saying its ground breaking or the best game ever but i really liked it because they tried their own thing with it. Kind of generic but its an old game so easy on the bashing. Worth checking out though. Cant be more than like 10 bucks if you can find it. I went through the entire RPG section at gamefaqs only to find that i didnt see it there. Went through it again. Decided to chance strategy. Apparantly its not an RPG. -_- Could have fooled me but whatever. Like i said before just really different, and the art is different in my opinion than most of the stuff out there. Its kind of an early attempt at the comic book coloring, not to label it for them but thats sort of what id call it. A good game in my opinion. Now that i remember what the hell its called i might have to go grab it. It has been quite some time since i played it and at the time i played it it was summer and i was at a cousins house

Of course I wasn't serious. I was just exaggerating my hatred of Jade Cocoon.
Wow, Kartia. I remember that game. I played the first few maps and decided I hated it, but couldn't stop playing it until I got some other game and forgot about Kartia. I'm actually afraid of playing it again because I don't think I'll be able to stop.
Kartia's an SRPG made by Atlus with art by Amano. I think it fetches a pretty high price online, but I'm not entirely sure.
