I just played this game, and I really liked it. But, it was rediculously short and had no real variety to the storyline as far as being good or evil was concerned. I don't even know why I liked it so much. I hope that the second game has much more variety.

I know someone who got this and the sound of the game is pretty sweet. At the time anyway. There are a whole sleu of games out now that have the whole choose bad or good scenario. But i think the thing i liked about it is how the character looks all badass if you choose bad or all heroic and sharp lookin if you go good. But i also noticed that it didnt take the game very long to plummit pricewise so i figured it was more of a flop than it makes itself out to be.

It's a flop for good reasons, but something about the game is just good. I liked it way more than the things I recognize as like able in the game. I liked that you could own houses,
have wives, have sex with wives, own a brothel, buy some hookers (free if you own them!),
kill guards, be kicked out of towns, steal stuff,
betray people, choose a defending or attacking side of available quests, d
emon doors, silver keys.
General experience and specific experience was a nice touch. Gaining experience from stealing from or taking advantage of vendors.
Sacrifice people to evil gods!
Make gestures like the crotch grab!
Pull a sword from a stone (and all the other fable details, as little as they seem to be).
Style Cards
Physical changes in character, like horns or growing fat
the ways to get multiple items from exploiting the hero save option
Getting Drunk is fun.
The main problem is that the game didn't take advantage of all of the different things it had and was way too based on a linear story line, similar spells, etc.

Your post describes my life. Except Style Cars, I don't get those.

I haven't played Fable, but I know many people that do. If you listen to the games' hype, then you will be very dissapointed. Most fo the things the game promises never happen. What people do like about Fable is that there are so many different ways to kill things, and you become overpowered very early in the game. It is simple role playing fun, but it isn't what I would call epic.

It's like I'm in awe of how much potential it had, not the actual game itself.
Style Cards are collectable items used at tatoo vendors and barbers to change your character. These change your scariness and attractiveness, and make you fit the character you build for yourself.
In the game, you get many suits ranging from a dress to impersonate a hooker to get information, a bandit costume to sneak into a bandit camp, or bright/dark plate mail to give you the look of an evil or good knight. There are also costumes that belong to assassins in general, or the fire assassins group. The group also uses a set of tatoos. But, most of the costumes don't have practical purpose other than the best armor at the time.

You can't, but doing so probably wouldn't be much fun anyway. You have to start at the begining to see all the new things and apreciate them. Plus they have changed alot of the stats for your best weapons and armour. That sword you got if you decided to sacrafice your sister isn't that good anymore.
