It honestly stuns me how often I get ragged on for how little I play WoW, when I cry myself to sleep at night thinking about how much of my life I've wasted playing that game. Honestly, TONS of games that I've invested large amounts of time in added TOGETHER don't equal the time I've put into WoW.
But yeah. I'm pretty pathetic. I need to play more.
It's pretty clear you haven't played WoW, but are slamming on it anyway. Trust me. FFXI is the inferior game.
Kudos on getting OB64. One of the greatest games of all time.

i was just playing, and yes i have played both, WOW is a little too blocky for me, too much like warcraft 3, any. got any trade skills mastered or lvls, what are you able to to in the 1-3 hours you play a day avarage? dont cry yourself to sleep its ok, when you play like me you have to take a few months off from every game. but when its gae time again it lasts 6-12 months and 6-12 hours a day, if your going to commit to playing, go all out, right,
ps still waiting for ogre bettle in the mail ><

If you really care to know, I almost have Tailoring mastered, but I'm holding off to get my Epic Mount, which embarrassingly enough I never got at 60 as I only hit that level as the Burning Crusade was released, and then after that I need my Flying Mount. And then after that my Epic Flying Mount. Although I probably won't get that for a looong time. Once I get the flying mount I'll probably finish maxing out Tailoring and make myself a few epics, then perhaps level my Enchanting, which is only at around 240.
On average a day I do about 2 instances and about about 100 gold worth of quests. As you might tell from my XFire sig, I'm playing more than 1-3 hours a day...
Right now I'm actually grinding Sethekk Halls, a level 68 instance, so I can get the dungeon set 3 pants for my priest, and then after that I'll be going crazy on level 70 instances, starting with probably the Shadow Labyrinth. I almost have enough Spirit Shards for that epic ring in Stonebreaker, yay.

I got bored at mid-50s. I didn't feel like bothering to get epic level.

That happens. That happened to me on my warrior. He's still only level 43, despite being my first character and was originally my main.
It's practically a different game when you get to the level cap though. Since you were so close, I think you should have tried getting to 60 and judging that. Unless this was recently, and it would have meant getting to 70.

Yeah, I just stopped last month (don't have the expansion, btw). He was a warrior, which I found to be quite a plain and boring class, but I had put so much time into him that I didn't feel like building up another character, although I did bring a rogue, hunter, and warlock into the mid-teens, just to try them out.
Levelling up my smithing seemed totally useless... I had it up to 230 or so, went armorsmith (because a fellow guildie had already taken weaponsmith), but I didn't see the point in spending an assload of rare ore and expensive reagents to get a couple skill-ups, to learn a recipe for an item I'd never use, except for to level up a few more times... plus all the rep grinding with various factions got really old really fast.
I dunno. It was really fun for the first month or so, with another fun time once I got my mount, but after that, not so much. Especially because I like to fight alone (because the retards on WoW are plentiful), and warrior is quite possibly the worst class for soloing.
Oh well, I've moved on. There are so many good games out there that I don't want to be tied down to one, especially if I have to pay a monthly fee. Since quitting WoW, I've played Frozen Throne (for a second time, inspired by my WoW playing), the BG2 expansion, Doom 3 (finally got around to beating it), NWN2, Rome: Total War, and now I just got C&C 3: Tiberium Wars.

CONSIDER IT FOUND.
Hey. I made a paladin and stuff. Got him to 70, but I haven't been raiding as much as I did with my hunter because I've got classes for 8 hours a day which cut into the time my guild usually starts. I guess that's all I really have to say since I'm coming in here out of the blue.
I've also been playing a lot of Pokemon Pearl recently. WoW is sort of like my game-between-games. I play it until a new game comes out, beat that game, then play more WoW until another new game comes out.

Since you made the paladin recently, I'm assuming you play Horde, dotn? If you actually start raiding you'd probably have an easy time getting in somewhere, pallies are pretty damn sought after.
Gr at pallies being better healers than priests.
So, how's the new Pokemon? Is it exactly the same as every other game, or did they add much new to it? I haven't played since GSC. I'm thinking of making my brother go buy a DS and one of the pokemon games, and letting me play it, just because so many people keep talking about it. It does seem pretty badass with WiFi trading and battling.
That game between game strategy is probably pretty good. I'v just been playing wow for the past 8 months, and I'm getting sick of it >_>
Maybe I'll take a break from it and beat Disgaea 2 and replay FFT or something.

Your color tag is showing.
Yes, I play Horde. We have a number of paladins in my guild, though. More than enough for one 25-man raid.
The new pokemon is fun. They put night/day back in from G/S/C, and Wi-Fi trading means you don't have another person handly when you need something you can't get in your version, not to mention to Global Trade Center. Since you play WoW, I'll describe it by saying it's sort of like the Auction House. You put up a pokemon you want to trade and what you want for it, then come back later and collect (or you can search for trades). The cool thing is that it really is global.
I've been having fun breeding pokemon and what have you. Breeding is nothing new, but I only just got into it and some of the new features to it are nice.
The underground is also pretty awesome. Kind of an excavation/fossil digging mini-game. You can find pokemon fossils, evolution stones, and other such things.
The Elite Four were fun for once. First time I can remember having to use that many Revives and Hyper Potions.

I really like the new pokemon too, but I was pissed at my team for being too slow and I started over the other night.

My friend code is 3565 8021 2630.
Also, happy birthday to myself.

I haven't made it that far yet. I'm only using a party of five, two of which are brand new and were hatched just before the final badge. Also my water pokemon sucks. I currently have no way to get past the psychic guy's Medicham. Apparently the move "Me first" doesn't work if my guy dies from the attack. I've never had this much trouble before, but I'm still appalled that they stuck bug and ground into the gym, and that the fire guy had three non-fire fighters. It's such a huge "what the fuck" factor.

Yeah, I'm not really sure why they even bothered to call him a fire-type trainer outside the fact that all of his pokemon have at least one fire-type move. That's kind of grasping at straws, though.
I can breed you a Squirtle, Totodile, or Mudkip if you want one. I also have a few other non-starter water types I could get you.

Well, the only two fire pokemon in the first 150 are Chimchar and Ponyta, so he tried. Think of him like Bruno from Red/Blue. As for Medicham, I personally switched between Luxray and Staraptor to intimidate Medicham to the point of uselessness, then had my way with him.
Hardest for me was ground, as Empoleon, Luxray, Skuntank, Rapidash, and Dialga (never used, but better than an HM slave) were all weak to it. Other than that, only Milotic stood out as a problem for my team.
Working on a wi-fi team at the moment.
