Lets make an Ogre Battle-like game

Ogre Battle is perhaps one of the best games I have ever played. I love the concept of building an army.

For years now I've had the idea (probably not an original one) to design a game along the same lines as ogre battle that could be played interactively.

In theory, Person A would have their army... Person B has another... They wage a war against each other and earn XP off of each other in order to level and promote their characters.

I've taken this so far as to design a detailed paper and pen game (which is actually played using MS Excel too) and at the moment, it could probably be played by email. But I'd love to design a game that could be played online eventually.

The problem is that I'm not a programmer in any sense. I've tried to learn little bits here and there but I'm coming along slowly.

Would anyone, with or withour programming experience, be interested in lending a hand with this.

We would start by designing the game. Then we would try to recruit as many people as possible to lend a hand getting it designed either by learning to code it ourselves or by convincing professionals to help with it.

What happened to them? Aelia studios doesn't seem to exist!

I guess that was years ago that I used to go there, I suppose they moved on to bigger and better things. Anybody know what happened with them?

Also DV, do you still have that old boom speed account? I don't have my awesome bright green sig anymore, the only place it might be is that boom speed account you let me host it on.

Wait.... it looks like boom speed doesn't exist anymore either.

Anyways, about universities, I want to go to McGill....Yeah, never heard of it, have you? One of the top 20 in the world.

But not right away, of course....for a year, I want to go into the Lattitude program, where you go to a foreign country and volunteer for a year! I'm so estatic!

Ah, you are a year ahead of me.

Well, I'm taking English AP, Socials AP, Math AP, PE, French, Science, Accounting, Family and Civil Law, Music, and Career and Life Management. However, because I could not be scheduled for any CALM classes, I need to do it through correspondence, and I also have to take bloody Family Law. But all in all, it's good.

No, I've never played the game in question...

Well, Nang, I know of it now, but I didn't know of it then....it was a delayed thank you.

Hmm...classes....what did I get....History, Comp Civ, English, Math/Calculus, GEography. Due to....strange schedule issues, I should of had PE and law...but I didn't.
